Privacy

Last updated: July 2026

The short version: I collect as little as possible, use it only to run the app for you, and never sell or share it. It lives on a small personal server, so please don't store anything you can't afford to lose or have exposed.

LittleCloud is a one-person hobby project, not a company. This isn't a formal corporate privacy policy. It's an honest, plain-English explanation of how your data is handled.

What I collect

  • Your account: a username, and (for HEARTH) an email address. (The email is used only to send you a password-reset link if you request one. Nothing else, and it's never shared.)
  • What you enter: the tasks, dates, and notes you add to your board.
  • Feedback you send: if you use the feedback box, I keep the message you wrote (with your account name if you were signed in, otherwise anonymously) and any contact you chose to include. It's read by me, used only to improve the apps.
  • Basic technical logs: ordinary server logs needed to keep things running and secure.

If you sign in with Discord, I receive your Discord username and ID (so the app knows it's you). That's it.

How it's used

Only to run the app for you: show your board, send your reminders, keep your account working. Nothing else.

AI processing: when you chat with a bot or receive a briefing, the text of that conversation and the task facts needed to answer are processed by the AI service that generates the wording. That's what makes the reply sound human. It's used to produce your reply, not for advertising, and no AI service ever computes your schedule or touches your password. Everything else (your board, the math, your account) stays on my server.

Never sold, never shared

I do not sell your data, and I do not share it with third parties, beyond three narrow exceptions: the basics needed to operate (for example, the hosting provider whose server it runs on), the AI service described above (chat and briefing wording only), or if I'm ever legally required to. There's no advertising and no tracking-for-profit.

Analytics (self-hosted, no cookies)

To see whether anyone actually visits, the sites count page views with self-hosted GoatCounter running on the same private server: no cookies, no fingerprinting, no third-party analytics company, just aggregate counts like “N people viewed the demo this week” and which site linked them here. If you sign up, the app also remembers which link first brought you (e.g. “reddit”). It's one word on your account, used only so I know where to say thanks.

Please don't enter sensitive information

Because this is a small personal project, please don't put sensitive or personally identifiable information into your tasks or notes: no addresses, lock codes, account numbers, passwords, or “the spare key is under the…” details. Keep entries generic.

Where it lives & security

Your data is stored on a private server I run. Passwords are stored hashed (never in plain text), and access is restricted. That said, security is best-effort, not enterprise-grade. I can't make guarantees, so treat it accordingly.

Deleting your data

You can ask to have your account and all its data deleted at any time: message in the LittleCloud Discord, or if you're not a Discord person, use the feedback box with a contact so I can confirm it's your account. Either way it'll be removed.

Changes

This may be updated as the project grows. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.

Questions

Anything you're unsure about? Ask in the LittleCloud Discord, or drop a note in the feedback box (include a contact if you'd like an answer back).
